Hello CRM Users:
For CRM on-prem I have heard of people creating a custom DB on the same instance that CRM is installed for the purpose of creating store procedures. I even found a few references to it on-line. What I am not clear on is how to grant permissions to the custom DB so that CRM users can run reports.
The goal is to have the custom DB so that I can write stored procedures for reports. I will use the filtered views. The stored procedure will live in the custom DB. This way I can use SP's but not keep them in the CRM database.
Have any of you done this?
Thanks.

Thank you, sir.
yes
Nice. I see anther logon called SQLAccessGroup. Will the DB need that one as well?
you can do by giving PrivReportingGroup and ReportingGroup permission to access your custom database.
