CRM 2016 Word Template - Repeating Table within a Repeating Table

Hi,

I would appreciate some guidance here -

I have created a Word Template - within the Template I have created a Table; which is set to repeating. Works great! - Until...

I am now attempting to add a Table within the existing repeating table which is also set to repeating...this is not working...

Example: A Lead entity has a 1:N relationship to a Custom Entity (A). Within the Customer Entity; there is a sub-grid, Entity (B), where the user creates additional records that relate to Customer Entity (A) and to the Lead.

I can see the relationships I need to create the Template, however once I pull the template it either does not reference my Repeating Sub-Table or it does display the Repeating Sub-Table but no mapping has taken place... it displays the original Plain text entered (E.G new_Lead)

Can it be done? - if so, please could you share this knowledge, as I feel I might go mad if I attempt to create 1 more template.

    Hi Taryn,

    This is because of the word template limitation. I can fetch the Direct child record only not child's child record. for your case Entity B records cant be retrieved. Please find the below limitation of word Template. Nothing issue with the repeating part.

    1.It cannot Filter/Sort the repeater data.
    2.We can only go up to one level down in context of relationship.
    3.If any of the attribute value is empty then it reserves the place (template looks dirty because of empty spaces)
    4.Repeater Only shows 100 lines( if you have more than 100 contact in account it won’t show)
    5.Once the document is downloaded and later on if you add any new field you have to delete the document and create the new document, As there is no update document option. We need to remap the fields again (here copy paste works that’s one good point)
