I want to learn how to install the Dynamic CRM from the start.
Many of tutorial that I have got are installing CRM in virtual machine such as VMWare or VirtualBoc or etc.
Is it required to install CRM on top of that? Can I just install CRM in my local PC, like common software?

Hello,
CRM Server can be only installed on Server machine, so you can't install CRM server on your local pc just like other server. but you can install CRM clients like outlook or USD on your local pc. To setup crm on virtual box you can also check this post: amigotechnotes.wordpress.com/.../install-microsoft-dynamics-crm-on-virtualbox-from-scratch
Thanks
Hi
It must be installed on windows server not other OS. Also based on the CRM version SQL version needs to be install.
MSCRM requires the windows server.
virtual machine is just the environment it can not be included into the MSCRM pre-requisite.
