I keep getting the error
I am trying to do a bulk deletion. By the way, even individual deletion gives the same error.

Please, can you paste the screenshot to check further.
These are cases created over 5 years ago and I wanted to delete them. It happens also if I tried deleting just one.
I had also started a bulk deletion operation and just checked the status. It deleted some but failed on most of it. I was expecting a notification but did not get any.

Check if you have any custom plugin running on Case entity.
You should also check the system jobs for any detailed information about the component which throw this error.
If you still face an issue please reach out to Microsoft for the fix
This looks like there is custom plugin which is blocking you to delete the cases.
Please check all plugins related to case, try deactivating and then try delete.
Looks like the error thrown from any Plug in. Please check any custom plug in registered on deletion of case entity, if any disable that step or plug in and try to delete case.

Can you check if any custom code is running during deletion of case record?
Also are you facing this issue for all the case records or only selected ? if selected then try to check it with other cases and find out the difference between them. it is possible that this issue might be occurring because of some dependency.

I am sorry for responding late to your replies. So, it does not seem there is a plugin running. What I discovered actually was that the error applied only to cases that are pre-2019. I could delete other cases dated 2019 and upwards. I think maybe the pre-2019 cases are referencing certain entities that have been deleted. If that is the case, how do you force delete these cases?
There is a option in error popup as "Show Detail", can you share that please?
