Copy child records from opp to quote

Much like how opportunity products are copied to quote products when a quote is created, we want this functionality added for a custom entity (resource) that is also a child of opportunity and quote. So when a quote is created from the opp, copy the opportunity resources to quote resources. Is there a way to do this without plugins?

There is a way. You can do it using my UWT.
