I'm Installing Microsoft Dynamics CRM server and getting this error as SQL Server is unavailable

System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception (0x80004005): The network path was not found
at Microsoft.Crm.Setup.Common.Utility.NetworkUtility.GetJoinDomainName(String server)
at Microsoft.Crm.Setup.Server.CrmSqlDomainValidator.InternalCheck(IDictionary parameters)

I'm able to ping SQL Server from server on which I'm installing CRM.

Please help

    Check firewall on SQL server. Try to turn it off. If it will help, you need to open ports in your firewall, that SQL server need.

    All the ports are open only and they are working with Other applications but in this only it's not working

    If so, then you need to check settings of this application.

    Check connection string and auth data.

    I have the same problem.

    I get this error when i want to create a new organization.

    "The SQL Server 'xxxxxxx' is unavailable.

    System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception (0x80004005): The network path was not found
    at Microsoft.Crm.Setup.Common.Utility.NetworkUtility.GetJoinDomainName(String server)
    at Microsoft.Crm.Setup.Server.CrmSqlDomainValidator.InternalCheck(IDictionary parameters)"

    Do anyone have any ideas?

    Old topic, but still relevant today.
    443/TCP (SMB) port must be opened on SQL server for CRM to reach.

    Basically CRM -> SQL:443/TCP
