Fixed asset transactions duplicating on disposal

Hi,

I am disposing of an asset through the free text invoice. Upon posting the free text invoice, I then I go to that asset through the FA module > Fixed Asset > Locate Asset > Value Models > Transactions it has duplicated all of the post values so i.e. Acquisition, Depreciation... the posting profile set up looks fine. Does anyone have any advice?

    Hi,

    Can this behavior because by derived value models that are setup for your fixed asset that is sold?

    Is your asset linked to more than a single value model?

    Hi Ludwig,

    Where can I check that for Derived Value Models?

    Also, my asset just has the 1 value line for the 1 Value Model.

    Hi,

    If you make use of a single value model only then derived value models can't be the reason for those duplicated postings.

    Have you tried replicating the problem in your test/demo system?

    Do you get the same result there?

    Hi,

    There are 8 value models currently set up in the Disposal Parameters, but only 1 Value model gets assigned to 1 asset.

    And yes, the same problem happens in the test environment which has the latest copy of live data.

    As Ludwig suggested, you may have Derived value models setup - check the Derived value models Fasttab in Value models setup.

    Hi Dynamics-Consultant,

    Can you possibly share the voucher that is generated when you post the disposal?

    Also please share the accounting set up that has been made in the fixed asset posting profiles in the sales issue form.

    We have the same issue with GL transactions duplicating for asset disposals. There are no derived models under the value models. Disposal transacitons are duplicated in GL but not in subledger. No customizations done to the disposal process.

    Have you been able to find out what is causing it?

    I did 4 disposals in March for fixed assets that were fully depreciated. Each of the 4 duplicated amounts. Equipment was understated and a loss was posted where there should not have been a loss. Quite a few regressions on 31 in fixed assets.
