Error when trying to add project based line items to opertunity or quote

Posted on by

When I try to add add project based line items to an opertunity or Quote in Dynamics 365 for Sales I get the following error:

Unhandled Exception: System.ServiceModel.FaultException`1[[Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.OrganizationServiceFault, Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk, Version=8.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35]]: System.Web.HttpUnhandledException: Microsoft Dynamics CRM has experienced an error. This behavior is repeatable and occurs in every opertunity or quote. I can't find any reason for it. We haven't made any major changes to opertunities or Quotes in CRM that could explain this. Does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this.

I have tried it in Edge and Internet Explorer

Please do go through the discussion below. Same issue was solved in different ways. Few of them were able to solve , by removing custom fields and re-adding them.

    Hope this helps :)

    Thanks

No JavaScript at all. If I have made any changes to CRM I only have added more fields to some entities.

    Hello Hwinther,

Have you used any JavaScript functions? This could be because of JavaScript errors.

    Thank You

No, I haven't created any plugins at all. This has never worked since I activated Project service in Dynamics CRM.

    Hi,

Is this error due to plugin changes.

If yes can you share code and also put try catch block to handle errors.

    Regards

    Vasu
