Voting/Election Entity

Has anyone ever tried to create an entity or process in CRM where you can use votes?

An example would be in my database I would like to Select 5 contacts for an election, then the other contacts would cast votes of who they want to elect to be the president.

Any ideas would be great.

Thanks

    hmmm

You may be able to do this using Microsoft Flow.

Create an entity called Election. This is linked to contacts.

Lets say you have an election 1 record.

Add the 5 contacts to election 1. Make the election record status active for voting.

Now set-up a MS flow -  email template to send email to all contacts when an election record is active for voting.

The email template should show all contacts standing for election.

Users have to select / vote 1 of the contacts.

    This will require some customization.

Than create a count of all responses and show the results on a dashboard.

    hope this helps.

Hi Mihir thanks for the reply. The tricky bit is how would i get the contacts to vote and that feed back into CRM?

    Regards

Get an aggregated result in Excel and update record in CRM(entity) using Ms.Flow as well.

    Excel as a source

    CRM as a destination

    Hi Shane

I think it would be easier and better to utilize Voice Of the Customer survey for this

Try it and let me know

    Flow may not be needed

I think the best bet for this is to use Voice of the Customer.  You could create custom entities, but it would probably require a lot of custom development
