Public Dashboard for Managers and their employees

Trying to create public dashboard for managers. What is the best way to go around and create dashboard for our management staff.

We have 2 divisions and 6 sales teams, and want each manager to see their team as a whole. Then there is a manager above each sales team that wants to see their team numbers. Then their are VP's of each division that need to see their corresponding sales teams, and then 1 CEO who wants to see all the info in 1 dashboard.

Currently, I have individual dashboards, that I need to share with everyone and it becomes very manual.

Any advice would help

In Settings -> Customize -> Dashboards, you can create system dashboards the whole organization can see.

I know I can create a dashboard the entire company can view.. but I want it to limit what data they can see

Sales manager 1 can only see his team numbers. I tried using the feature for equals user or reporting hierarchy but that didn't give me results

You can use Hierarchy security to do this (you'll need to set up everyone with the proper manager), or your normal security role scoping can do this.  Remember, if your security doesn't already restrict what your users see, they could literally make their own dashboard of what you're talking about without issue.

Okay, any suggestion on how to do this, each of our divisions is its own business unit.

But when I try 1 person to be able to see her own team, her results are only hers, not hers and her reporting team. These are in the same business unit

So did you turn on Security Hierarchy?  Did you set everyone's Managers properly?  Are you using the "Open Cases" view instead of the "My Cases" view when filtering the Chart? Are you security roles scoped only to their business unit and not to the organization?

Almost certainly one of those issues will be your solution.

Okay so I used the hierarchy for the managers, that only will work if they are all under the same business unit, which they are not.

I then tried it by position, but then they could see everybody at that position just not their own teams
