Unable to update AcctXRef

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Client recently upgraded to SL2011 & uses Windows Authentication. 13 Companies in 13 DB's. If they add a new account to the Chart, it saves, but it is not available in any Acct PV's, and it doesn't update the APP DB vs_AcctXRef table, or the SYS DB AcctXRef table.  We have verified those tables have proper values alread in there for all of the companies. We have also verified that the Intercompany table has proper values for each company. We have verified the Company table for CpnyID, CpnyCoa, CpnySub & BaseCuryID.

Just wondering what else we can look at or try? I have read somewhere that we should change the Authentication mode to SQL and then back to Windows - will this work? Would I do that via DB Maintenance?

Thanks,

John

Thanks Carolyn, that's exactly what it was.

    Hi John,

There are application database views that hold the information in the Acctxref table.  It could be that those views are not refreshing properly.  Look at KB article 942095 and download and execute the rebuild_triggers.sql statement that is reference in that article.  It should take care of the issue.

Let me know if you continue to experience problems.
