I need to pass parameter from one form to an other (js) the new form is opened using the + button, how do I do that?

I recommand to create a new button and apply to it your logic.

As mentioned by Mehdi, the best approach is create a new button and hide the OOB one. We don't recommend modify OOB buttons since we apply updates on those guys time to time and it could cause problems on any customization done there.
