I am trying to print an inventory batch before it is posted, so I can check it. Neither the printer icon nor File/Print will print it.

You will need to go posting set up in administration.
Administration - posting - posting
Set series to inventory, and origin to Transaction entry.
In the bottom of the window the reports that print as you post are listed. One of them is the inventory transaction edit list. That report is going to be turned off in your case. check the box on the far left next to the report. the check boxes in the middle indicate if the report should ask where to print, print to screen, print to printer, or print to file.
Thanks. I would like to print it before I post it so I can check it. I already have it set up to print after I post it. I can print Purchasing batches before they are posted, but I am unable to print Inventory batches.
Hi Marsha,
In the 'Inventory Batch Entry' window there is a printer icon to the top right, from there you can print to screen, file or printer.
The document should say edit list, in the posting setup the option to print 'Inventory Transaction Edit List' should be ticked .
Regards
Rosemary
Marsha, what version of GP are you running? Just wondering if older version may not have the feature that Rosemary has commented above.
Just checking
We are using Dynamics GP 2016. I have it set up to print after posting, but I want to print it before I post it. There is a printer icon, as well as File/Print on both the Item Transaction Entry and the Inventory Batch Entry screens, but none of them print the batch. They do nothing. As I said, this works for Purchasing Batches, but not Inventory Batches.
Marsha, from the Inventory Batch Entry screen, I have selected the active batch, it shows me the name and source as well the number of transactions.
When I click on the printer icon I do not get asked anything, it simply prints the Batch Edit List.
I would suggest you go back and look at the Posting >> Posting settings for Inventory and look for the Inventory Transaction Edit List and make sure that there is a check mark in the PRINT Column - far left side
Hope this helps.
