I have 300+ records for my RFQ. When I click on Manage replies button, the process takes appx 5-6 mins for opening the form. Also there are 3-4 vendors for that, so switching of vendors also take a lot of time. My edit reply option again takes appx 5 mins and submission of bid also takes 10 mins. Also acceptance of the RFQ takes 10-15 mins.
I am fine with acceptance time as system creates purchase orders for 300 records, so it might take time. But for the rest of the processes, from manage replies to submission of bid, is there any way to optimize these processes? No custom code is there which might delay the process time.
I don't understand why form opening is taking so much time just to load 300 records.
Note: I am using D365 F&O PU39
Hi,
please share the details of your customizations: "The only customization I did was coloring of few string edits and grid in manage replies form using display Option and setting background color and added a new column in grid of manage replies form."
Hi Nikolaos,
I'll try to remove it temporarily and check it again. But what about edit RFQ reply form and submission of bid ? There are no customizations for that and yet it is taking too much time for the processes.
What details should I share with you for detailed opinion ?
Your customizations can definetely cause the problem.
You could try to remove them temporarily and see if it works faster.
And you can also share more details about your adjustments with us if you need more detailed opinions.
Hi @Martin and @Andre
Thanks for your response.
This is a new project and has no existing customizations. The only customization I did was coloring of few string edits and grid in manage replies form using display Option and setting background color and added a new column in grid of manage replies form.
Can these customizations be the cause of this time issue as I don't think it should take much time.
I checked the performance by adding debug=develop in the URL, and the major time taking action was 'nps'. I don't understand what does that mean ?
I don't have much knowledge for query store, but I will check it if I find something.
Hi Dhruvil,
Can you tell if you have customizations or a partner/ISV solution in your environment? If not, you can create a ticket for Microsoft Support. Otherwise, you have to start measuring as mentioned by Martin.
It's very difficult just to guess the culprit - especially because it may be caused by a customization that nobody else have.
A much better approach is actually measure what's going on. I would start by checking Query Store (through SQL Server Management Studio) in a non-production environment.
