Adding Due Date Field when creating Lead's Activities / Tasks in Dynamics 365 Workflows

Dear community,

I am looking to incorporate a due date field for tasks associated with different lead stages.

To achieve this, I plan to leverage existing workflows that are triggered during lead stage updates and lead creation. However, I would greatly appreciate your expertise and guidance in modifying these workflows to include the 'scheduledend' parameter for setting the due date.

The specific workflows I am looking to update are as follows:

Fill due date when creating Lead Activities:

  1. 1 hour after the lead has been created for the “Fulfil lead info”/”Process the incoming lead”
  2. 1 workday after the lead has been created for the “Qualify the lead” task

How to fill due date?

    Hi Knowledge_seeker,

    You can do this by modifying the workflow to trigger on create of a lead record, and then create process timeouts to wait 1 hour or 1 workday, followed by populating the due date. Alternatively, a better solution is to implement this functionality with a Power Automate flow instead.
