I keep having to clear old user sessions because when batch jobs run for that day they are using old dates due to user sessions still running found in user session form. The only way to fix is by ending these old user sessions and rerunning batches does anyone know of a hotfix to fix this issue or any other remedy

    We sometimes have this as well. Would be nice to fix that somehow (other than clearing the sessions)

    Hello allaboutax,

    Microsoft Dynamics AX by default will close unused sessions. If your user sessions are remaining open. That means your user is never logging off of AX, Since AX thinks the session is still in use. It keeps the user session open. You might want to conceder putting a policy in place to force logoff your users, when there sessions are inactive for certain amount of time. If you are publishing the AX client through RDS or Citrix, the policy can be setup on the servers. Hope this helps!

    I've seen this same issue.  Microsoft recognizes the situation but has decided not to provide a fix:

    This article does however suggest a development workaround in lieu of a hotfix.
