set up bank details with use of bank groups

I want to maintain list of Banks(Exp. State Bank of India) which include the bank details like name, routing number,bank account and also maintain list of branches for the banks,so how can i implement this functionality with use of Bank groups(Cash and bank management -> Setup -> Bank Groups) in ax 2012?

    u need to create chart of account of that particular bank and update that account in bank accounts as main account(common->bank accounts)after this is done whenever you post any transaction related to bank the info gets updated automatically in both the modules.

    Hello mansi gajjar,

    What kvarsha writes is right and describes the bank account setup. Regarding your question about the bank groups; I would set them up first before setting up bank accounts as your bank accounts might share some data that you enter at the bank group level.
