I would like to do simple book keeping for several different clients. I would like to have have three accountants doing the data entry and have the the respective clients able to log into the accounts online to view the reports and maybe do some data entry. Is this supported in GP?

Technically, yes. You can setup multiple company databases in GP and secure them to specific users.
