Transfer Order and New Sales Order?

Posted on by 3,482

Hi:

I successfully transferred quantity of an item from one location to another, through a Transfer Order.

To do so, I had to remove the item from its Sales Order.  The item was at the "old" location, so the Transfer Order transferred the quantity to the new location that we need to ship from.

In order to conduct a Warehouse Shipment, then, what are the next steps?

I ask because, again, I removed the item from the Sales Order.  Test after test, this was the only way to accomplish that transfer.

Thanks!

John

RE: Transfer Order and New Sales Order?

According to my understanding, location A has stock, and location A will be selected when creating a Sales Order.
If it is 0 inventory management (all purchases), generally a location specified by the logistics department will be selected, such as location B, and the logistics department will deliver from B after entering the warehouse. Your problem will not arise.

Of course, there may be various special businesses that caused your situation. But as far as I know, there is no need to delete the line, just change the location on the line.

    Hope this helps.
