I was working on Leave and Absence module. I am able to put the Time off request, however i am unable to understand how values are inserted in "Leave of absenece requests" and how this is used.

It's configurable: see Leave and absence > Setup > Leave and absence parameters
When viewing the calendar, the user will then get options for what they want to see:

As a employee you can request time off, or leave of absence.
This can be done via the ESS:
The menu item you refer to only displays 'Leave of Absence' request.
The menu item for time off request shows both types of request.
Please note that requesting leave of absence is only possible if the leave accrual plan > accrual type has a 'suspend leave' functionality.
In addition, those requests works a little bit different then time off, and is currently part of the preview functionality.

Hi Gaurav,
I test it and find that there is a "view leave of absence" option in employee master.
If you add leave type "test2" below suspension relations and assign employee "Agustina Fierro" to this leave plan, you will see the following results.
