Dears,

Please note that i am able to access financial reports when using a local VM but when i use the link of D365 from my laptop i am not able to open reports.

1- do i need to install report designer or viewer on my laptop? if yes from where i can download it?

2- a popp-up screen is appearing asking to install accelerator Plus but also it is not working and an error appear saying cannot continue: the application is improperly formatted. contact the application vendor for assistance.

Hi Elie,

When you hit the edit or new button in the financial reports form do you receive a pop up message that asks you to install a plug in on your computer?

Do you have the security and system admin roles - or a financial role - assigned?

Hi ludwig,

Please note that when clicking edit a pop up screen appear to open or save report.

If i saved it, i find the followings:

The open with report is using Clickonce application deployment support library.

type of file: application manifest.

If i opened it, this error appears: cannot continue: the application is improperly formatted. contact the application vendor for assistance.

Also I have Security and system admin roles assigned to my account.

Hi Elie,

Have you tried this with a different browser?

Sometimes they make some trouble.

If you still experience the same, can you let us know the exact Version of your D365 application? Maybe it is an old one and you Need to upgrade to the latest one?!

Hi Elie,

You have to check .net framework on your machine . Upgrade it to 4.5.1 or later and then try

Also make sure you have taken care of following things

1. Add ax URL to AD trusted site list

2. Update .Net framework to 4.5.1 or later , for us 4.6.2 worked when we got same error in Workflow editor.

try running command rundll32 dfshim CleanOnlineAppCache , you may still have to do step 2.

It was a certificate issue, once i install it on my local PC the above working properly.

Hi ,

I suggest you to use Internet Explorer....Just did the same thing on colleague's system...MR report designer launched succesfully.
