Is it possible to view a previous version to edited notes? I note there is a owner and a last edited by section but would like to view an early version of a note.

    Hi,

This is not possible out of box. You can write some plugin/workflow that will trigger before the record is actually modified and will make a copy of the record that will contain data from previous version.

    Hope this helps! :)

Not possible out of the box - you would need image plugin and set the pre and post value.

However once you enable the audit history on notes - you do have an option to see what happend to a note :

you go to settings -> System -> Auditing and then click on Audit Summary View and you can view the Notes audit there

you can enable filter and put entity as Note and this should show only notes audit records

    hope this helps..

mark my suggestion as verified if helpful.

So if content in a note has been backspaced and clicked out of can it not be recovered?

    Hi CRM Help.

No, you will not be able to do this without custom logic.

As mentioned in previous replies the way to capture changes to your notes would be to have a plugin on the Update message to capture the previous/current values and store them somewhere.

Another option which might be worth checking is using Change Tracking on the Notes entity, and running a process to log these changes as needed.

    Hope this helps.
