Business Central - VPN Tunnel with AWS

Posted on by 35

Hi,

We are building an integration between Business Central and AWS. (The endpoint is in the AWS side)

Currently they have a VPN on the AWS, therefore we can't reach the endpoint. Since we can not access the Azure portal for Business Central, how can we build a VPN tunnel between Business Central & AWS?

Open the Amazon VPC console at console.aws.amazon.com/.../ .
    1. In the navigation pane, choose Site-to-Site VPN Connections.
    2. Select your VPN connection and choose Download Configuration.
    3. Select the vendor, platform, and software that corresponds to your customer gateway device or software.

To configure an AWS Virtual Private Network (AWS VPN), create the following items from the AWS console:

    • Customer gateway â€“ The VPN endpoint on your office network. Here you specify your customer gateway device public IP address and autonomous system number (ASN) if you intend to use the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) or dynamic routing.

    • Virtual private gateway â€“ The VPN endpoint on your Amazon VPC.

    • VPN connection â€“ The connection between your office network and your Amazon VPC. You can automate the configuration of the customer gateway device for your office network with a configuration file that is generated when you create your customer gateway and virtual private gateway.

    Hi,

A network admin should be able to do this in Azure.
Azure has the tools included for this. I've looked a network admin recently over the shoulder as he was setting up a VPN from Azure for me.
But I can't help you in detail.

Best is for you to go into a Azure-related network infrastructure forum because this forum here is about the Business Central application itself.
