Switch off goods receipting completely

Is it possible to switch off inventory receipting completely  

All transactions will only ever be GL so there is no need for a receipt or cost posting.

Ideally we dont want to see the receipting option at all

Default the lines to GL would be good but i am lead to believe this will never be a option in BC

    Avoid using a location. In the inventory setup turn off "Location Mandatory" so you can bypass this part of the posting. Receipts will still be generated but the value will only ever sit on the g/l. To remove the receipt option completely a modification would be needed and the same for any defaulting but not 100% confident on how best to achieve that one.

    Hi,

    You can try Purchasing using Purchase Journal. There you need to mention Vendor No, Amount and the Balancing Purchase Account and then post. Your G/L accounts will be updated while you will not get any receipt documents, item ledger so you do not need to cost posting. If you are purchasing Inventory items then its not a good practice to skip item ledger and cost posting. But if purchasing services then its fine.
