Hi all,
I'm new to marketing module and I’m trying to accomplish the following.
We want to send out “Welcome Email” only to contacts where the record on entity “Contact” for field “Channel” is been updated to value “X”
I defined an Segment: Where channel = “X” but that gives loads of contacts.
In the Customer journey I defined my starting block with “Record updated” with the properties for trigger field “Channel” and connected to that the created segment Followed with the E-mail.
The question is: Is this the way to go? Or is the marketing module not suited for this? And should I just go with Workflows?

I think I have solved it.
I created on entity "Contact" a field "Welcome message send" as boolean
In my segment I can now select fields "Channel" and "Welcome message send"
In the Customer Journey I have added after the block "Marketing Email Message" a "Launch Workflow" block that sets the field on contact to yes.

I have seen this documentation before I posted this. And i created already something like this. But I think my problem is in the "Segment" part where i only want to retrieve the contact that has the field change to value "X" Now it is picking everyone that has the value "X" already.
Been thinking about using the modified on date. But i think that is still a bad option.
