How can I sort this problem?

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I'm using Dynamics SL 7.0 Sp3.

What happens is that I can log on to any company successfully but I cannot open the shippers screen as a normal user logged on to windaows. However if I log on to windows as a local or network admin I can open the screen well.

I get the following error message:

Description:

Stopped working

Problem signature:

Problem Event Name: CLR20r3

Problem Signature 01: 4011000.exe

Problem Signature 02: 7.0.0.0

Problem Signature 09: PSZQOADHX1U5ZAHBHOHGHLDGIY4QIXHX

OS Version: 6.0.6002.2.2.0.18.10

I have tried this on the server and its doing the same.

The problem began when I was on FP1 but did not get solved with SP3.

Please help

    Chad,

You saved me.  The "grant exec on getauthenticationtype to [public]" on the system DB worked.

    Hello,

Usually when I see an issue with the OM Sales Orders/Shippers screen, and it's only occurring for non-admin users, it has to do with a SQL permissions issue.  Try running the following statement against the SL system db to see if it cleans up the issue:

grant exec on getauthenticationtype to [public]

If the users still cannot open up the sales orders screen, try running a SQL trace using the trace template in the article below to see if you can identify any permissions issues:
