Hi
As I know, Composite data entity we can not used in ODATA endpoint. In Composite data entity, we can add multiples table.
Composite data entity, we can use when we need to export or import data from multiple tables at a time.
Is it correct?
Please give me more shed on this
Thanks!
Hi Arpan,
A composite entity is used to import/export header line scenarios. Take the example of a Sales Order where you want to create sales header and lines in the single call. We need to use XML format only for the composite entities.
Because of these limitations (and few more), it is not used that frequently in projects.
Is it only support XML formats? Why not excel?
There are internal technical challenges for Excel and thus not supported by Microsoft.
Yes, it supports XML only. It seems you again forgot to check the documentation before asking in the forum, otherwise you would have know that. Please read it now: Develop composite data entities.
The reason is that XML supports hierarchies - you can easily embed one entity in another. It's not true for Excel.
Thanks Vinit
