Fails to install AX2009 client on windows 7 64bit Japanese version

Hi All,

Is there anybody have experince to solve this issue

here is my environtment :

OS Japanese version win 7 pro 64bit

AX2009 SP1 running on win server 2008 R2 with configuration EN-US language

issue :

Fail to install ax2009 client on PC with japanese windows

Error log like this :

RegAsm : error RA0000 : ファイルまたはアセンブリ 'System.Design, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a'、またはその依存関係の 1 つが読み込めませんでした。指定されたファイルが見つかりません。

>>Install: のセットアップ中にエラーが発生しました。実行プログラム: C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\regasm.exe。パラメータ: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics AX\Common\MindKeyGroup.MindKey.Wheel.dll" /unregister。

>>Install: 次のファイルを登録または構成しています: 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics AX\Common\MindKeyGroup.MindKey.Wheel.dll'

could you translate the Japanese part of the log?

I'm not really sure if this translate is true :

RegAsm : error RA0000 : Could not load file or assembly 'System.Design, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

Install: During Setup of an error occurred. Program run: C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\regasm.exe. Parameters: "C:\Program Files(X86)\Microsoft Dynamics AX\Common\MindKeyGroup.MindKey.Wheel.dll /unregister "

Install: Registering or configuring file: "C:\Program Files(X86)\Microsoft Dynamics AX\Common\MindKeyGroup.MindKey.Wheel.dll"

just run it like "run as administrator"

Hello!

You just have to remove the .NET Framework 4.0 componentes and restart your PC. After restart the PC without the .NET Framework 4.0 you will be able to install AX Client.

After to install the AX cliente you can install the .NET 4.0 again!

Hi All,

I have same problem. But even after I removed the net framework 4 and even run as administrator still client installation fails.

Please help

Hi All,

Thanks for the reply for my question, now I've managed to install AX2009 client in Japanese windows 7 64 bit , by fully install .NET Framework 4.0 first

It seems the main issue on .NET Framework client profile, instead of removing this update from win 7 , I would rather to choose to fully install .NET Framework 4.0

after fully install , then go for the ax2009 client instalallation.. it works
