I am migrating the CRM On-premise 4.0 to CRM 2016 . I want to convert all Javascript files which are available in CRM 4.0 system to CRM 2016. Can you please suggest on this. It will be very helpful to me if you share reference links or docs.

Essentially everything that is in CRM 4.0 needs to be rewritten from the ground-up for CRM 2016.  2016 is two development platform changes away from CRM 4.0.  Plus, the UI is so dramatically different that likely half or more of the old JavaScript would be completely invalid anyway.

Just start here, and plan to rewrite it all: msdn.microsoft.com/.../mt593051.aspx

One word of warning about using this tool, it only migrates to a deprecated version of JS for 2016.  So you're basically only one version update away from this updated JS breaking in CRM again.  If at all possible, use the new WebAPI support for better future-proofing.

Thank you Wayne for the reply.  Is there any url to know more about the properties that we need to change in 2016
