Multi-line Item Descriptions

Hi folks,

I am working with a client who wants to paste long item descriptions into a sales quote or order.

These descriptions are essentially notes for the production team to customise the product, so they have a structure which changes for every order.

Are there any solutions to be able to paste in text into a sales line description which are multi-line?

What is the best approach to this please?

I will eventually be implementing a product configurator for this purpose, so extended text will be created automatically by that extension. Unfortunnately that work is delayed until phase two of the project...

Thanks Nitin. I think I'll need to go with a blob for this, as I need to display the text on the quote template too.

I haven't seen any examples of using comments like that - they're limited to a single line of text as I understand it.

Hi,

There are two ways, Either go by to add the comments on each line see the image below, and this require no customization

and the other way is add a new blob field in sales line table and populate on Line sub page as per the above image and enter the text you want. this require customization.
