CRM Getting Slow For Only One User

(0) ShareShare

We have CRM 2016 (on premise) and it is being used by about 10-12 people. It was working fine for everyone until 4 weeks back. But just for one specific user it is getting slower and slower. For everyone else, it is fine. We have checked all the user rights, cable connections, browser settings and active director. We also tried that user on other machines but CRM is still slow for him. If someone else logs in on his machine, then it works fine. Is there anything I can do? Please help.

Good investigation. Can you check the Performance center for that particular user: www.powerobjects.com/.../microsoft-dynamics-crm-2013-performance-center-2

Does he own lot of records, shared records with him? Are you seeing any particular form/dashboard loading slowness or save taking time?

Arun, thank you for your reply. Yes that user does own lot of records in the CRM (We have a custom field named "Resource Name" and he has his name in lot of records). It taking time in saving the record and also in opening the email window.

I would recommend to time the script start & end on email form load in browser console, or disable the event handler & pin point the rootcause. (Did you try the Performance center link I shared?)

Also if you have plugins/workflows on save, try to disable them & see.

I have found the solution for this problem. It was happening because the XML in the RecentlyViewedXml in UserEntityUISettingsBase was too large for one of the user. I deleted that row and now it has been recreated by CRM and its working fine now.
