Auto Assign Lead Based on Day of Week

We have a couple of Customer Success Managers (CSM) who handle our leads prior to handing to sales people once qualified.  They work four days a week and alternate who looks after the leads on any given day.  What I'd like to do is automatically assign leads to them.  If it's Tuesday to Thursday, allocate to one CSM, if it's Friday to Monday, allocate to the other.

I had thought Lead Assignment, as detailed at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics/marketing-customer-center/set-up-automatic-lead-assignment.aspx would be fine, but I'm not sure if it's a Marketing function.  In any case, I can't see Rules and Models within Settings.  I assume it's under Processes, but not sure how to set it up.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Use the following URL, to determine the day of the week:

    community.dynamics.com/.../calculating-the-day-of-the-week-without-code

After you have done the configuration mentioned in above URL, create a workflow for Lead assignment

    Go to settings>>Processes>> New>>Trigger on creation/field change (Day)>>Scope=organization>>

    check condition if Day=Friday,Saturday.Sunday,Monday

    Assign to user 1/team 1

Conditional Branch, otherwise if day= Tuesday, Wednesday, thursday

Assign it to user 2/Team 2

Wow, seems overly complex, four new fields to get the day of the week, where's a good =WEEKDAY(field) like in Excel when you need one :)

Thanks for your help though Prashant

Unfortunately, MS CRM does not have a field or setting which can store 'Days'; thats why you will have to create some fields and do some configuration. It might seem complicated to you, because this can be achieved without any code; if in case you want suggestions, which involves code it would still be one javascript + one field & minimum one workflow.

So somehow i think, this one is better.

    Hope this resolves your issue.
