I am trying to install Dynamics Sl 2011 FP1 on a Windows 10 OS. I am installing from the mapped drive to the WRKSTN folder. When I click SETUP.exe, I get the screen showing what files will be installed, but when I click continue, I get. Microsoft Dynamics SL 2011 FP1 Client mseeage box with the message "The files for installation requirements Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Runtime could not be found. The installation will now stop. This is probably due to a failed, or canceled download." I have installed Dynamics on a bunch of Windows 7 workstations, with no issues. Any help would be appreciated.

This is an update.
I ran all the "ISSetupPrerequisites" in the WRKSTN file. I also downloaded both the x64 and x86 versions of the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable files and installed them on the workstation. The Microsoft Visuall C++ Runtime is listed in "Programs" in the Windows 10 Settings. Now, when I run Setup, the InstallShield Wizard lists only the "Requirement" Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Runtime with a Status of Pending (and says "Click Install to begin installing these programs") . But when I click the "Install" button on the InstallShield, I still get the same error as before I did all of the above.
Do you have a drive mapped with admin rights to the same Solomon file share location as your non-privileged drive mapping?
Hey Brian, Thank you for answering.
I am not completely sure why the solution that worked, worked, but it did. Ear;y on, I found that the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable (Microsoft Visuall C++ 2005 Runtime) was missing from the "ISSetupPrerequisites" in the WRKSTN file. I found what I thought was the correct Redistributalbe and downloaded the Redistributale to a folder on the workstation and installed it. After that, as I mentioned in my first followup, the Microsoft Visuall C++ 2005 Runtime was listed in "Programs" in Control panel, but the Dynamics Installation still stopped saying the Runtime could not be found. The solution was to copy the redistributable into the "ISSetupPrerequisites" file and run it from there. After doing that, it installed fine. So, two things. I am not sure why that worked and I am not sure why the file was missing for the "ISSetupPrerequisites" in the first place?
