When running the Electronic W2 file through the AccuWage software, the error message says that I am missing the Kind of Employer. The choices are F - Federal, S - State, T - tax exempt, Y - State and Local tax exempt, N - none apply. Where is this set up in SL Payroll?

From the tax bulletin provided with the year end updates, I find this:
W-2 Electronic File Changes
– The W-2 electronic file is updated for tax year 2011.
– Added a new field, Kind of Employer, to the RE Employer Record (position 174).
– Added a new field, Cost of Employer-Sponsored Health Coverage, to the RW Employee Record (positions 463 - 473) and the RT Total Record (positions 295 – 309.
– Added a new field, Designated Roth Contributions Under a Governmental Section 457(b) Plan, to the RO Employee Record (positions 111 – 121) and the RU Total Record (positions 145 – 159).
This makes me think that you don't have the year end updates installed.

After installing these updates, you should no longer get the error.
