Business Portal "access denied"

Client uses Solomon 7.0 SP1 and uses Business Portal.  A new employee has been sent up in Time & Expense in Solomon, has been given roles and rights assigned in BP and Sharepoint, patterned on her co-workers.  This new employee cannot log into BP from her workstation (or anywhere else) but I have been able to log into her workstation using SYSADMIN credentials.  XP machine, IE 7 browser.  What could be the issue with her login?
