Business Central Table 5717 vs 5777

Previously, I used Table 5717 (Item Cross References) to organize different part numbers for the same global part.

Now when I go into the item card, it seems like Item Cross References has been replaced by Item References, at least where the tab used to be on the item card. I noticed that the tables numbers are not the same, but the tables look identical to me.

Is Microsoft updating Item Cross References to Item References? Am I safe to proceed with how I was organizing data that I used to put into Item Cross References, into Item References?

Thank you.
