Integration Manager - Integrate Purchase Orders

Posted on by 7,365

I am attempting to integrate a Purchase Order using the e-connect destination adapter.  We do not use Project Accounting but I am getting an error

DOC 1 ERROR: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlError: Invalid object name 'PA10601'.

I can't figure out why is is trying to look at Project Accounting tables (this one happens to be the Project Accounting PO Line Open Table).

It can't find that object because we have no Project Accounting Tables.

This is a really simple integration as a test with just the basics to see if it works.  And apparently it doesn't.

Has anyone else had issues with this integration?

The eConnect stored procedures are now an integral part of the Microsoft Dynamics GP system and yes, to fix your problem you will need to upgrade to at least Dynamics GP SP3. It won't make sense to just upgrade the eConnect components.

Well we put in a support case with Microsoft and they acknowledged that this is a known bug with the taPoLine node.  We are on GP 10.0 Service Pack 2.  We are also on Service Pack 2 of e-Connect.

Microsoft is telling me that we need to upgrade our GP Service pack to at least Service Pack 3 to fix this.  But does that even make sense?  Just as I can independently install service packs for FRx, Integration Manager, shouldn't I be able to just install the service pack for eConnect?

Maybe I am confused.  We have a development enviornment and someone else told me that they just ran the service pack 4 for eConnect.  However, I see in the SQL server that is still says version 10.0.2.0 for e-Connect.  I was told by Microsoft to run GP utilities and that will update the eConnect version, but that did nothing.  They said they will not send me a hotfix for this node because "We want our customers to run the same version of stored procedures across the database thus we have a strong policy here we need to follow and we cannot send it out."

Can anyone confirm that this makes sense?  All I want is a correct stored procedure called taPoLine that does not have a bug in it.

    Kevin

I read Steve Gray's post from 2007, probably the same one you read. Did you try installing and reinstalling IM or eConnect? For version 10 the most recent is eConnect 10.0 SP4      (5.1MB)     8/24/2009.

I can't read back your previous posts, so I apologize if you have already tried this and it didn't work. You've got us puzzled. It's probably such an easy fix I'll want to go hide.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

    Kevin,

I wonder if you installed Project Accounting (as a test), your import would succeed.

    It's worth a try.

    Hi Kevin,

    It was from your post:

"The only table that is returned starting with PA% from Dynamics is PATH

Interestingly (or not...), trying to integrate with PO as a Drop-Ship or Blanket Drop Ship does not get this error.  But that's not going to work as a solution.

    Kevin"

The PATH table is located in the DYNAMICS database.

Also, you might look through your stored procedures for any that may be associated with Project Accounting. I imagine they would have SA in them. It goes without saying (but I will), be sure you have a complete backup of your database before removing any records.

     Kind regards,

    Leslie

I'm a little confused.  What record am I removing?  What is the Path Folder? Are you talking about the dynamics.set file?  There is no reference to Project Accounting in there.

Try removing this record from the Path folder, be sure to record the record entries in the event something goes Ayr. I do not think you should have a record for Project in this folder if you do not have PA installed.

Thanks for the help.  Unfortunately, there are no references to that product ID in either one of those tables.

    Kevin,

Do you have any references to product 258 in the DB_Upgrade table or the DU00020 table? These tables are in the DYNAMICS database.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie
