Date difference in Sales frontend and backend table

Dear Expert,

We are having issues in date differences between Front-end (user interface) and back-end table.

I will highlight one table as example which is Project Contract line Milestone.

The problem is in Invoice date field.

Eg

if Invoice date in frond end 9/17/2020 --------show in back end table 9/16/2020 17:30

                                            9/1/2020 --------                                       8/31/2020 17:30

meaning it is showing one day late in back end table if the time is 17:30

If Invoice date in frond end 9/17/2020 -------- show in back end table  9/17/2020 00:00

it is correct if the time is 00:00

Is that related to date/time setting? May I know where I can fix this kind of problem?

Best Regards,

Sweety.

    Hi Partner,

It is related to the date field behaviour.

There are three behaviours and here are the differences.

    pastedimage1600670054510v1.png

    1.Date Only

This behaviour of value will be stored into database(CDS) directly which means the values are the same at the front and back.

    2.User Local

When the behaviour of a field is “User Local,” field values are displayed in the user’s local time. In the back-end, these values will be returned using a common UTC time zone format.

    3.Time-Zone Independent

When the behaviour of a field is “Time-Zone Independent,” field values are displayed with no time zone conversion. The date and time values are stored and retrieved as specified both in frond and back end.

You could also refer to my another answer here.
