Mass activating bills of materials

Is it possible to mass activate bill of materials?  We have a lot of bill of materials that are approved but are not activated.  We would like to mass activate them instead of activating them one by one.  Can this be done via data management or power automate's execute action?

    Hi,
    Batch activation of BOM itself is not provided through the standard user interface. You can use the data management framework to batch update records through the data entities related to the BOM.

    Hi,
    You can do this using the data management framework by importing the data you want to modify into the FO system and completing the batch activation of the bill of materials. This is the official document on data management: Data management overview - Finance & Operations | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn.
    As for the Power Automate you mentioned, it's Microsoft's automation tool that can automatically trigger tasks when certain conditions are met, thus avoiding the need for users to manually import data.

    Hi David,
     
    You can use Power Automate to mass approve bill of materials. When you have a source file with the BOM (versions) or loop through the existing records, you can use the entities BillOfMaterialsHeaders and BillOfMaterialsVersionsODataV2 to perform the action for approval and activation.
