Hi Experts,

I have a question about bidding guidedance items (BGI). As I understand, it is a supporting documents that the company need vendors must or nice to provide. If I use the Vendor collaboration portal, the BGI section is just shown to view. If I don't use it, when I print the RFQ journal, there is no field to show the guidedance.

Is there any misunderstanding about the BGI I know???

Thank you so much!! I would be greate if you guys can give me some use case of Bidding guidedance item, Amendments, and Questionnaires.

Best regards,
I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

You're mostly right! Bidding Guidance Items (BGIs) in D365 are informational documents or instructions meant to guide vendors during the RFQ process. They can be marked as "Required" or "Optional".

If using the Vendor Collaboration Portal, BGIs are visible to vendors — but only as read-only, not as attachments or inputs.

If not using the portal, BGIs are not printed on the standard RFQ journal by default — you may need to customize the report to include them.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Zain,

Thank you so much for a clear answer. However, I wonder if there is a workaround solution (avoid customization as much as possible) in case we don't use Vendor collaboration portal, to show all required document in the printed documents
