Unit price and Average Cost Cal appears different in Navision 2018

Posted on by 4,359

Hi,

If you looked at the image below, it is taken from item card.

I have selected the ... so that I can see where does the cost comes from.

Unit cost is 17.49788, but in the Average Cost Cal the Unit Cost is 175.50.

So my question would be, how come it is not similar? When does the system determines whether is it 2 decimal placing or 4 decimal placing?

Thank you!

    Josh,

The two figures are correct. Unit Cost is a setting on the General Ledger Setup page. As for drilling to see the Average Cost those calculation are rounded to 2 decimals but you can see the individual entries effecting the daily entry by expanding the day. Also, your costing method is FIFO, in case you did not see this.

    Thanks,

    Steve
