SystemUser With Id Does Not Exist - Team

Hi all,

I am trying to get a workflow to run on a record whose owner is a Team.  When the record owner is changed to a user, the workflow runs, but when the owner is a Team I get the following error and the process gets stuck in 'waiting':

The requested record was not found or you do not have sufficient permissions to view it.

SystemUser With Id = xxxxx Does Not Exist

As soon as I change the owner back to a user and retry the workflow, it works.  I have ensured that the owner may be of type Team or User for all related entities, and have made sure to share the workflow with each team.  What else could I be missing?  It seems to me that D365 is expecting a user as owner, but I cannot confirm.

I should mention the workflow's first step is to create a case, funneling the owner in question as the owner of the case, and then the remaining steps are creating tasks related to this case.

I believe it is due to N:N relationship.  Now working with this github.com/.../Associate%20Entity.md

    Hi,

What is the scope of workflow ? Try to set workflow scope "Organization".

What happen if you assigned team security role as System Administrator  , if its works then make sure the team has sufficient security access to run the workflow .

    Hi

I think in your workflow step somewhere you are setting the Owner of the record to a user lookup field.

When the record is owned by a user, if you use the Owner to set value to a user lookup field in your workflow steps it will work fine. But if the record is owned by a Team, and if your workflow still tries to set the record Owner (this a team in this instance) to a User Lookup.  CRM tries to retrieve the user record with the Team ID but it wont be able to find the record i think

    Hope this helps

    Hi,

Have you assigned any security role to Team ? It seems that Team does not have sufficient permission and it may be because of no security role assigned to it.

If this does not resolve your issue, could you please share a screen shot of the error message and error log?
