Good Morning,

When I click general ledger > General Journal it takes almost 10 minute before the general journal actually opens. What can cause this delay? Unfortunately we do not have access to an AX expert currently to help us with this issue.

AOS - Windows Server 2012 CPU - 8 Memory 16GB

SQL - Windows Server 2012 CPU - 8 Memory 32GB

Hi tuffy,

Did it work normally before? Have you brought any changes in this area recently to the environment?

Do you have any DB maintenance tasks (statistics update, index rebuild)?

Sergei,

It was working normally until yesterday. We have not introduced any changes recently.

We do perform DB maintenance regularly including statistics updates and index rebuilds.

Hi tuffy,

And I guess it happens for any kind of journal in the system? I would still recommend you try to update statistics\rebuild indexes (or at least to check fragmentation) for LedgerJournalTrans. Do you have someone who has experience in MSSQL to check if there are long queries or something weird is going on? It can be done pretty easily with Activity monitor tool.

I ended up speaking with our SQL guy and he found that one of the maintenance tasks had been failing for a couple of weeks. As soon as he successfully completed the task I was able to open ledger journal. Thank you everyone.
