Where is Business unit & cost center used other than 1. fin dim. 2. accounting structure.
one eg. Department is used in HR. Similarly where is BU and CC used?

Business Units and cost centers can also be specified as operating units in the organ. admin module.

I understand they are operating units. Hence my subject 'operating unit'. The operating unit Department is used in HR module and can be linked to positions. Similarly value stream can be used in Lean manufacturing (I don't know how is it used). Like wise where is BU and CC used other than org.admin/org. hierarchy, fin dim & acc.structure?
Another usage is the Management Reporter. If you create organizational hierarchies out of your BU's and CC's then you can find them in the Management Reporter where they are synchronized and can be used for reporting purposes.
There are really many usages of BUs and CCs and I do not think that you will come up with a complete list where they are used.
