Calculated Field in SmartList Builder

Dynamics GP 2010

I have created a SmartList via SmartList Builder that uses restrictions to specify (20) different vendors.  This SmartList is to show the Average Lead Time per quarter for just these vendors.

It works great except for the fact that I do not know how to state the Calculated Field to show the days correctly.

For example, it will show an average lead time of 1079 days rather than 10.79

I know I can create two more columns when I export to Excel to show [Average Lead Time] / 100 = 10.79 but I KNOW that a calculated field will do the trick.

I am a newbie with calculated fields and calculated expressions and would appreciate someone taking pity on me.

I created this in the "Add Calculated Field" area:  ((AVRGLDTM)/100) and clicked Validate to have it state that the calculated field is valid, yet when I go to SmartList, it still shows the figures as 1079 rather than 10.79.

Thank you for the assist.

In the list of columns, highlight the Display Name field of your calculated field, click on the Expansion Arrow (->) icon in the title bar, and select the Decimal Places tab on the Set Field Options window.

As a Newbie, you might want to check out our Customizing with The Builders book which explains Smartlist Builder, Excel Report Builder, and Navigation List Builder.  Its available from our web site and tells you how to do all of this.

    Richard,

thank you very much for the lesson - and I do have your book "Customizing with the Builders" but neglected to use it in this instance.

I have really enjoyed all the books that you/Accolade have published.  It was like a kick in my rear end to have you remind me of the "Customizing with the Builders" book.  Thanks for that.

I will not be attending Summit this year.  I hope to one day though.

Thanks for all you do for the community.
