I have a question, how do I go about editing this on a line in a PO if I want it to start with just 0001 or 1?

The linenumber is auto assigned by the system using something called an autosplit key.

It can not be manually changed.

And the reason for the gap is to allow the system to insert lines in between two existing lines.

Hi, no, you can not do this.

As Inge mentioned this is controled by AutoSplitKey Property.

PS: you can add a new field if you really need.

    A simple example:

    Hope this will help.

    Thanks.

As other mentioned, the Line No. is automatically assigned using 10000 incremental.

The reason is because BC allows you to insert in the middle.

If you try to insert in the middle between 10000 and 20000, you will get Line No. 15000.

You can't do this with incremental of 1, because you can't have Line No 1.5.
