NAV & LS Retail - Hospitality

Dear all,

I have an issue with transaction posted to Nav via LS Retail POS - Hospitality.
The recipes were created erroneously using the Items that were setup with incorrect unit of measure conversions. We picked up this issue 7 months later and fortunately, only 3 transactions (1 per month) were posted. Unfortunately, the qty's were quite high and therefore the costs posted was ridiculously high.
Example, recipe was setup to use 5grams of an item, but the conversion from gram to kilogram was 1 and not 0.001. So the recipe posted incorrectly and incorrect costs.

A service provider mentioned to me that I can reverse/void the transaction, which I have tried. Everything did reverse/void, however, the cost is slightly different.
Example, the GL shows cost of 5000. When I reverse it, it shows a cost of 5600. This is probably due to some of the ingredients being purchased at different costs over the months, and now, months later it is using the current cost on the item card (FIFO).

I want to reverse the transactions exactly the way it was processed and then re-process them on the same day. Is there a way for me to achieve this? If not, what are the possible solutions?

    Hi Nabil BA-MOH,

I am considering this approach now as there doesn't seem to be much more info available.

I do have a concern though. Since the cost of the recipes are posted incorrectly to the COGS account, and once I am done with the negative adjustment, I would have to process a GL Entry from the Stock Adjustment to the COGS account to cancel the amounts? Am I right?

    Hi Ismail,

You could revalue your item. Please check this blog http://www.archerpoint.com/blog/Posts/revaluing-inventory-microsoft-dynamics-nav-revaluation-journal

To correct the UoM, I think you should void your inventory (make it zero with negative adjustment) -->change the UoM --> put back your stock (positive adjustment with correct cost.). Or, block the item, create a new one and and set correct UoM, value and stock.

    I hope this will help.

    Hi Amol,

The parameter was not ticked initially, so I did tick it.

Unfortunately, I cannot use the copy document feature though as the transactions are posted at day-end using the Post Statement feature in LS Retail i.e. there are no posted sales invoices etc. just posted transactions from the statement.

Check whether Exact Cost Reversing parameter tick or not on setup .If not then tick that field and then use copy document functionality to reverse the transactions.

You can check first on Test database.
