I just completed a GP upgrade from GP 10 to GP 18.2. This client uses the GL Trial Balance Detail and Summary reports to output data to csv files. When viewing the reports on the screen, all looks well. However, when output to csv option is chosen the data fields are overlapping. I can add space between fields but why should I have to make this change?
Beat, I am running the same report before and after. It is the GL TB - Detail and Summary. GP 10 was the before and GP 18.2 was the after. I will check out the issue with SmartConnect. I am sure it has something to do with drivers and jumping 10 years into the future.

Could it be that a recent update might have changed the way the CSV is produced between the 2 GP versions ? Are you doing the export on the same server or 2 different Windows versions ?
eOne recently sent out an e-mail to all its partners & customers warning about a situation that was induced by an update and causes issues in the ODBC text driver for CSV files to their SmartConnect product.. I could imagine something similar to GP..
