PowerAutomate to trigger off user access audit or just from user login

Posted on by 496

Has anyone built a PowerAutomate that either triggers when a User Access Audit has been created or when a user logins in?

Looking to update a date/time field when we detect a user has logged into Dynamics.

Reason: Today we have a daily run SSIS job that pulls all user access audits and gets the latest user login by user and updates a field called Last User Login.

I'd sure love to eliminate the need for this SSIS job.

    Hi Shannon,

I notice that the system will create audit record when user login dynamics if you check ‘audit user access’, you can use audit record create as trigger.

In audit summary view, the ‘operation’ of user access record is ‘Access’, you can use it’s value as condition in the flow.

In the flow, you can use ‘When a record is created’ ad trigger.

Add ‘get a record’ action to get body, the operation value is stored in it.

Add ‘compose’ action to get operation label value.

Add condition, if operation value is ‘Access’, you can do actions you need.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your query.

It seems like triggers are not available for Azure AD events.

For now, you can replace your SSIS JOB with a scheduled flow (instead of triggered) and get the sign-ins info.

Later on once the trigger is available you can update the same flow to run on a trigger.

Let me know if you have further questions.

    Best,

    Wahaj
