I have just had RMS installed on existing hardware. We previously had MYOB RM and used Javelin JP-88 printers using the standard Generic/Text printer drivers.
The same receipt printers are "working" with RMS but the width of the receipt is only approx. 3/4 of the receipt printer paper. We also have very large blank space at the beginning and end of the receipt.
I can't find the drivers for these printers anywhere on the net but have read that others have used compatible drivers for Epson in place of any Javelin specific drivers. I'm fairly sure from what i've read that they are not OPOS compatible so i need windows drivers. I also have one PC that is W7 64 bit so dont want to go OPOS route at all. Current partner is suggesting that we may need to move the W7 PC to 32 bit so we can pursue OPOS option.
1. Should I be able to use a printer that uses windows driver with RMS? I thought so.
2. Does anybody have any experience with the Javelin printer and getting this working with RMS?
3. If I have to go OPOS is there a way to retain 64 bit for W7 ?
